If you are serious about your beer and you live in or are visiting Tokyo then dropping into Yeast is a must. Get off at Kinshicho train station and head out the north exit. It is a very short walk. It is a microbrew bar that opened recently that is around the corner from my cousin’s apartment, luckily for us.
It had the best English ale I have tasted outside of England (or dare I say ever?), as well as a great selection of microbrews form around Japan and the world (and wine if you want it). You can get caged up in the room atop of the bar (where we were smoked out) as there is not a lot of room in this place, but that’s Japan for you. They are still smoking.
There is food if you want it. Snacks and the like. And good soft white cheese as there should be in all good microbrew bars.
